Officer Eric Enzenberger takes us through a day in the life of a Tigard police officer and shows why minutes matter in our response times. He mentions, "Most of us do this job because of the involvement with the community. It’s addressing problems, but also creating relationships.” It’s challenging to maintain those relationships and provide the best service to our community without the resources we need. Over the last 5 years, response time to emergency calls has increased by over 20% and calls for service have increased by over 20% as our community has grown but our staffing levels have remained the same.
